Big D
In this case, the 'D' stands for decision. I've been freelancing for about 6 months now, and things have been great. In short, I'm working less, making more, and happier than I've been in years. But when you're in business for yourself, there is no guarantee that it could all end tomorrow. So sometimes it's nice to have the security of a steady paycheck and knowing where you're going to go to work each day.
So this brings me to the dilemma. One of my clients has offered me a full-time job. Problem is, the job is in Boca Raton, Florida. I have a 7 year old son who likes his school and his friends, and my Father enjoys coming over on the weekends to see his grandson. My wife, who is awesome, is being incredibly supportive in all of this. She's with me no matter what decision we make.
The move of taking the job would provide security. The move of staying a freelancer would mean my faith and relationship with God would get stretched, worked, and exercised every day. When you work for yourself, you tend to pray a lot. At least I do. And God has blessed the business tremendously.
Anyway, that's what's going on. Hope you all are doing well.
